I am delighted to say we managed to catch up with our old friend and mentor Ian Ritchie, director of the City of London Festival , about Skoog being involved in this years festival. It looks like there will be a couple of events on the 6th and 7th of July. We are hoping for a sort of open air music workshop where people can come and try various exciting new things out and try their hand, and it looks like there will be a really exciting day of discussion and rumination on all things musical on the 7th… It is a bit of a watch this space element at the moment but Ian says the exact program details will be available very soon. So as soon as we know, you’ll know, you know.
It will be exciting to be sharing a platform with a variety of artists and creative talents. Ian recently gave a really inspiring talk alluding to the aesthetic impacts of the work of people such as ourselves and the Headspace ensemble in challenging convention and exploring new territory with audiences and performers alike.
