BBC Skoog – music, technology and special needs makes the news!

Skoog was in the news again last night.  A great little feature on BBC reporting Scotland .  I must say I was very proud to see Jackie Bird with a Skoog backdrop on BBC1 no less.

The feature was related to the training we were doing in Orkney.  They have embraced the Skoog and it was a real pleasure to be back at Glaitness school to catch up with staff and pupils.

The two girls featured in the news item were such stars and learned the bass part for the tune they were working on in a couple of minutes.  Steve (who you can hear playing the whistle part in the  background)  transcribed the parts for them and whipped up a really accessible colour coded score which the girls used to learn and play their parts.

I am always impressed by the enthusiasm of the Staff in Orkney and am really looking forward to hearing the fruits of their Skoog labours.  My thanks again to all at Glaitness, for a fun couple of days.

Keep up the Skoog work!
